What you’ll be doing
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate designated machinery (Trailer, Motor Grader, Vibratory Roller, Excavator, Bulldozer, Wheel Loader) on construction and infrastructure sites according to supervisor dispatch.
- Execute hauling tasks based on project engineering standards.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections (hydraulics, engine oil, water tank, braking mechanisms, undercarriage, tire/track status) and promptly report mechanical faults.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness, perform routine lubrication and minor on-site troubleshooting, and record activities in operator logbooks or fuel sheets.
- Comply with on-site fleet safety policies and traffic regulations and coordinate with project site management and engineering supervisors.

- Valid Zambian Class CE or Class D driver’s license.
- License held and active for at least 3 years.
- Minimum 3 years proven, verifiable hands-on experience operating heavy machinery on civil or road construction projects.
- Strong mechanical comprehension; ability to identify faults by visual/audio checks.
- Skilled in leveling, hauling execution, and heavy equipment operation (Trailer, Motor Grader, Vibratory Roller, Excavator, Bulldozer, Wheel Loader).
- Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain operator logs/fuel sheets.
- Ability to work on-site, follow schedules, and adhere to safety rules.
