Dangote Cement Zambia, is seeking an Environmental Officer to join their construction industry team.
As an Environmental Officer, you will work with the construction team to ensure that environmental issues are properly addressed. You will also have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and innovative team that is committed to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures for construction sites.
- Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to identify potential environmental hazards and concerns.
- Develop and deliver environmental training programs to all construction personnel.
- Ensure compliance with relevant environmental legislation, regulations, and guidelines.
- Track and report environmental performance and recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Work with the construction team to develop and implement corrective and preventative action plans.
- Lead environmental impact assessments and prepare reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- At least five years' experience in environmental management or related field.
- Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation, regulations, and guidelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
